Xcite Mountain Bike

 

 

I have just finished composing all the music for an upcoming mobile game called “Xcite Mountain Bike”.

 

I’ve been working with the guys over at Monkey Wrench Games (all the way in Thailand!) for the past 2 months.

We needed a style/ sound that kept the player’s adrenalin going while playing the fast moving game. After a few days of sending ideas back and forth we finally found the right sound for the game - a hybrid of electronic and rock/ metal elements.

I wrote a total of 4 tracks for the game that feature everything from double bass patterns and heavy guitar riffs to dubstep elements and melodic synth lines.

 

Writing heavy hitting music was a refreshing change from the usual orchestral based music that I compose so often.

It was a lot of fun tracking real drums for this game (something I don’t get to do very often) and playing lots of fast metal riffs on the guitar!
